General Policies

Welcome to Fit Kids! We want your child(ren) to have a safe and enjoyable time with us, so please take a few minutes to look over our policies.

All children MUST be signed in and out by the same parent unless written permission is submitted to a staff person.

Hours of Operation

Our program is open Monday through Friday, year-round.
Child Care hours: 7:00 am - 6:30 pm.

Enrollment Procedures

Please stop by or call for an appointment at the GHRC. If you wish to enroll your child, you will need to fill out the admission and health forms. A copy of your child's immunization records and hearing and screening reports are required. However, if a copy of these records is located at your child's school, we will only need the school's name and address. You will also need to sign a permission slip allowing your child to attend field trips, to participate in water activities, and to authorize GHRC to transport your child from school to our facility.

Parent Notifications

You must sign your child out everyday. At this time you will be given updated notices on events, any other information regarding the program, or any policy changes. Activity schedules and important information will also be posted near the sign out desk. Nutritional snacks a.m. & p.m. will be provided every day for your child and menus will be available upon request.

 

Health Information

If your child needs to take prescription medication while he or she is at the GHRC, parents must fill out our medication authorization form. Medications must be labeled with the child's first and last name, along with the dosage and how often it needs to be given.

If your child becomes sick while he or she is in our care, parents will be notified immediately to pick up their child. Sick children will be kept separated from other children as they continue to be supervised.

In the event of a medical emergency, parents and EMS, if necessary, will be notified. Parents must provide emergency contact numbers and sign for authorization for emergency medical attention if a parent can not be reached.

Release of Children

Parents need to sign their child out everyday. Only those persons authorized to pick up a child may do so. Authorized persons include the child's parents and those listed on our enrollment form. If this information changes at any time, parents need to update our records before pick up.

Appointments

Parents can make an appointment with the director or assistant director to discuss any questions or concerns about the policies and procedures of the after school care program. In addition, parents may review the minimum standards and the program's most recent licensing inspection report at any time.

Parents are welcome to call at any time during the program's hours to check on their child.
